==Generating Proxy Media:== If the footage is not yet proxied, right-click on the clips. Select the option to generate proxy media. ===Setting Master Project Preferences:=== Confirm that the master project settings are correctly configured. Ensure that the proxy media is saved in the SMB (Server Message Block) file folder. ===Editing with Proxy Media:=== If both the footage and the proxies are stored on the SMB and accessed via an Ethernet cable, this should provide sufficient speed for editing 4K footage without lag. ===Troubleshooting:=== For any issues with proxy media, check the file path. It should be: /Volumes/wreckroom/PROXIES/ProxyMedia. If having any further issues contact Justin.
