Transferring Local Database to Davinci Resolve Project Server
Steps for Transferring to Resolve Server
Step 1: Accessing the Resolve Server
Begin by accessing the Resolve server. Use the command K to load into the VNC directly into the Resolve server.
Step 2: Adding a Project Library
Once in the Resolve server, add a project library. This could be a new project like "Pan Flute Sessions" or an existing project like "Daylight Sessions" or "Safe and Sound Showcase."
Step 3: Working with Local Resolve
Access your local DaVinci Resolve, not through the VNC on the Resolve server. Here, you will access your locally created file.
Step 4: Exporting the Project
Export your local project. For example, if your project is named "Pan Flute Performance," export it accordingly.
Step 5: Importing to Server
Return to the home page of your Resolve server. Add the project library you named earlier, such as "Pan Flute Sessions," and set the location to resolve.recroom.nyc, which is the server's name.
Import your local .drp file to the server.
Step 6: Ensuring File Accessibility
Important: Ensure all files are uploaded to the appropriate category in the SMB file server. Without this, others may access the project but not the files.
