This document outlines the file naming and organizational structure for managing files within the Wreckroom environment. It covers three main categories: INTERVIEW SERIES, LIVE PERFORMANCE SERIES, and WRNY RADIO.

General Principles

All Caps Naming System: All folder and file names should be in ALL CAPS.

Clarity and Specificity: Names should clearly reflect the content and category.

Categories and Structure

INTERVIEW SERIES

Structure: LOCATION -> MONTH & YEAR -> ARTIST -> SOURCE & FINAL

Source Folder:

Contains VIDEO with BLACK MAGIC CAM and IPAD cam, and AUDIO files.

Final Folder:

Includes AUDIO folder, FINALS with full interview, and SHORTS with clips for social media.

LIVE PERFORMANCE SERIES

Subcategories: SHOWCASE, DAYLIGHT SESSIONS, etc.

Folder Naming: Name folders by the NAME OF ARTIST (e.g., WRECKROOM -> PROJECTS -> LIVE PERFORMANCE -> SHOWCASE -> CAROLINE MEADE).

Artist Folders:

Source: Holds footage, audio, and archives of all source materials.

Final: Divided into Short clips for Social Media, Full performances, Bounces, and Full Audio.

WRNY RADIO

Usage: A hub for visual content, sponsorships, etc. Source Material: Primarily from SHOWCASE and DAYLIGHT SESSIONS folders. Structure: Organized to facilitate easy access to needed content.

Best Practices

Maintain consistency in naming conventions across all files and folders. Regularly update folder structures to ensure easy navigation and retrieval of files. Ensure that the naming system is understood and adhered to by all team members.
