This document outlines the file naming and organizational structure for managing files within the Wreckroom environment. It covers three main categories: INTERVIEW SERIES, LIVE PERFORMANCE SERIES, and WRNY RADIO.
General Principles
All Caps Naming System: All folder and file names should be in ALL CAPS.
Clarity and Specificity: Names should clearly reflect the content and category.
Categories and Structure
INTERVIEW SERIES
Structure: LOCATION -> MONTH & YEAR -> ARTIST -> SOURCE & FINAL Source Folder: Contains VIDEO with BLACK MAGIC CAM and IPAD cam, and AUDIO files. Final Folder: Includes AUDIO folder, FINALS with full interview, and SHORTS with clips for social media.
LIVE PERFORMANCE SERIES
Subcategories: SHOWCASE, DAYLIGHT SESSIONS, etc. Folder Naming: Name folders by the NAME OF ARTIST (e.g., WRECKROOM -> PROJECTS -> LIVE PERFORMANCE -> SHOWCASE -> CAROLINE MEADE). Artist Folders: Source: Holds footage, audio, and archives of all source materials. Final: Divided into Short clips for Social Media, Full performances, Bounces, and Full Audio.
